What’s the difference between the care plans?
The WooCommerce care plan is priced differently because WooCommerce websites tend to take up more server resources.
Migrating from another hosting service?
Three steps are required to move you to our service, and we handle all of it for you: we install the UpdraftPlus plugin and take a backup of your website, restore that backup on our hosting, then sign into wherever your domain name is registered and point it at our hosting service.
Daily backups
We take daily backups of your entire website, so we can restore it back to full health if anything were to happen.
How long do you keep backups for?
Backups are kept for 7 days, so we can roll your website back to a previous version if needed.
How do you update WordPress core, plugins & themes?
We regularly monitor websites on our care plan for security vulnerabilities in WordPress, plugins, and the theme, and test any updates before rolling them out to the live site to prevent downtime — in the worst case, we can restore from a backup. We don’t update plugins immediately unless there’s a severe vulnerability, since updates can sometimes introduce bugs or downtime.
What’s WP Umbrella?
WP Umbrella is the tool we use to monitor your website’s uptime and check for security vulnerabilities.
What’s included in the monthly website report?
A personalised monthly report summarising your website’s performance, including uptime and overall site health.
Will you also update my website?
We’re happy to make small updates once a month as part of the plan. Larger requests — like new pages, strategy work, or SEO — are billed at an hourly rate.
Is my domain name included in the price?
The care plan covers managing, configuring, and routing your domain name to prevent technical errors. The domain’s annual registration cost stays with your registrar, though we’re happy to help you purchase one if needed.
Do you provide email inboxes?
We don’t offer email hosting ourselves, but we’re happy to help you configure a mailbox with a third-party provider.
