UI/UX design agency

UI/UX design agency

Websites and web apps that are easy to use, look great and turn visitors into customers.

Good design is how it works

UI is what people see: layouts, colours, typography and buttons. UX is how it feels to use: whether visitors can find what they need, trust what they see and complete a purchase or enquiry without friction. We design both together, based on how your customers actually behave, so your website or app looks good and performs.

RATED 5 STARS ON GOOGLE

Ben created my website for me over several sessions of working together. Working him with brilliant as we didn’t just build the website – he also helped me to define my brand values and voice to inform the website content – something I’ve needed to do for a while. The site looks great and I’m excited to continue our work together. Highly recommend Ben to anyone looking for a website refresh and fantastic marketing insights.

Ben was very helpful with my issue and would recommend to anyone.

Really great service. Good communication and very reliable. Would definitely recommend.

Fast feedback loops, driven by data

We release design changes in small steps and measure every one. Google Analytics, heatmaps and session recordings show how real visitors respond within days, not months, while you review each update and give feedback straight away. Every round of improvements is based on evidence rather than guesswork, so your website or app gets easier to use week after week.

Frequently asked questions

What’s the difference between UI and UX design?

UI is how your site looks and UX is how it works for visitors. A good website needs both, so we design them together.

How much does UI/UX design cost?

We charge £75 per hour. A UX audit of a small website typically takes a day or two, while designing a full website or app takes longer. After a free call we’ll give you an estimate of hours, so there are no surprises.

Can you improve my existing website?

Yes. A UX audit is often the best starting point: we find the biggest friction points on your live site and fix them, without needing a full redesign.

How long does a UI/UX project take?

A UX audit takes around a week. Designing a new website usually takes three to six weeks, depending on the number of page templates and rounds of feedback.

How do you use data in the design process?

We set up analytics, heatmaps and session recordings before making changes, so there is a clear baseline. Each design update is then measured against it, which tells us quickly what is working and what to improve next.

Do you build the designs too?

Yes. We develop in WordPress, Shopify and Django, so your design is built by the same team that created it.

Are your designs accessible?

Yes. We design to WCAG guidelines, including colour contrast, keyboard navigation and screen reader support, and our own sites aim for the strictest AAA contrast level.

What tools do you use?

Figma for wireframes, prototypes and UI design, alongside Google Analytics, Hotjar and Search Console to research how visitors use your site.

Do you design web apps as well as websites?

Yes. We design dashboards, booking flows and custom web applications, as well as marketing websites and online stores.

Can you work with our existing brand guidelines?

Yes. We build the interface around your existing logo, colours and fonts, or help you create a simple design system if you don’t have one yet.

What happens if our requirements change during the project?

Because we charge by the hour, changes are simple to accommodate. We’ll update the estimate with you before any extra work begins.

Brett, COO at UnBarred Brewery said this:

We’ve been working with Ben on an ad-hoc basis to help fix issues, improve user experience, tweak design and functionality to help make the experience better for our customers. Ben has been great at communicating, ideas, explaining and why how things need to be done and create easy to use guides if we or anyone else ever needs to revisit the work that has been done.
