Frequently asked questions
What happens on the initial onboarding call?
During our 30-minute onboarding call, we’ll learn about your business and any goals or objectives you have.
Is full website migration included in the package price?
Yes — product data, customer accounts, and order history migration are included as standard in every package.
Who’s this service for?
Business owners who are tired of having to keep on top of their website themselves, aren’t interested in hiring full-time, want to stay in touch with market trends, need ongoing design and development support, and want honest feedback.
Are there different support levels?
Yes — support is built around an initial onboarding call, ongoing consultancy research and recommendations, work scheduled at convenient times, and regular progress updates, so the level of involvement can flex to match your needs.
How can your consultants help?
We carry out extensive research and identify current best practices within your industry, backed by data to support any suggested updates. Research is charged hourly, since website and customer requirements are constantly changing and every implementation is unique.
Do you keep track of theme customisations?
Yes — whenever we modify theme code or create custom sections, we log the details in a Google Sheets document. This matters because upgrading to the latest version of your theme would otherwise lose any customisations.
Do you hold progress calls?
Yes — we believe meetings are sometimes necessary to help reach objectives, and we’re happy to do these over coffee in person or over Zoom.
What can’t you help with?
Internationalisation of websites, and headless frontend solutions.
Do you offer training?
Yes — we can show your team how to use the website and prepare easy-to-follow documentation.
Do you work with any Shopify theme?
Yes — we can support any Shopify theme, whether we built it or not, though we’ll need some time during onboarding to get familiar with a theme we didn’t build.
Can support be adjusted or paused if my needs change?
Yes — get in touch and we can discuss adjusting or pausing support to suit your needs.
Brett, COO at UnBarred Brewery said this:
We’ve been working with Ben on an ad-hoc basis to help fix issues, improve user experience, tweak design and functionality to help make the experience better for our customers. Ben has been great at communicating, ideas, explaining and why how things need to be done and create easy to use guides if we or anyone else ever needs to revisit the work that has been done.
