SSL certificates (secure socket layer) ensures that data being passed to and from websites is encrypted. This protects any sensitive information like such as credit card numbers. When a website is safe you will see a padlock icon by the URL bar. The certificates that we use are called Let’s Encrypt, and they are used by lots of large organisations.
Website uptime is measuring the amount of time your website stays online in a given time period. In our care plan report that we send out every month, you will receive the percentage of time that the website has been online for. Ideally we want to make sure that your website is up 100% of the time, so that website visitors can always access your website.
