Ta Mill: SEO Strategy
Ta Mill are based in Cornwall and offer self catering cottages, lodges and weddings. We’ve been helping to make improvements on their average click through rate (which was at 0.3%) and page rankings. We identified pages with high impressions, refined keyword strategy for search intent, and then crafted a more engaging meta descriptions. Afterwards we added more helpful information to the pages like FAQs.
The results 3 months later include:
- Average website click through rate lift of 0.7%
- 4 pages have moved -20 positions in rank.
We’ve Hotjar’s recordings tool to identify key areas for improvement on desktop and mobile device, and have installed a low-effort popup survey which appears on page exit to gatherfeedback about pages.

UnBarred Brewery: Mailing List Design
The UnBarred brewery send out a weekly sales mailer to their customer base. We helped to tie the design of the mailer in with the website for greater branding consistency. The emails now display correctly in mailboxes on mobile. We made sure that important contact information can be found on the mailer for a better user experience. The sign-up and 1-week-follow-up emails were also styled similarly.

The Brighton Box Gallery: Woocommerce Store
The Brighton Box Gallery required a new Woocommerce web store to become eligible for the Own Art Loan scheme. We redesigned the store to create a more gallery-like experience, by remodelling artwork descriptions and providing helpful information alongside the art pieces. We preserved Google ranking by replicating information architecture and SEO to the new site, using 302 and 301 redirects where necessary. We also helped to solidify the artists onboarding process, and introduce new systems for greater organisation and communication between the staff.

UnBarred Brewery: Shopify Store
UnBarred is a micro brewery based in Brighton that required support with their Shopify website. Over the period of 4 months, we made many improvements to their website. We updated their Shopify theme, added custom theme functionality, improved on page SEO, and optimised their homepage. We’ve adjusted meta tags to improve the click through rate from Google for pages with high impressions and finding new keyword opportunities. We’re also improving the ranking of UnBarred Beer Club page on Google by focusing on providing a more helpful user experience – adding FAQs, testimonials, and working on the product story. We’ve created documentation to help new staff stay on top of the website.

EARL Conference: WordPress Website
Enterprise Applications of the R Language (EARL) is a cross-sector conference focusing on the real-world commercial use of the R programming language. The brief was to make a transactional website that was highly informative, providing details about the conference, and selling tickets. We created a fully responsive website over the period of three weeks, using the EARL branding guidelines.
The website helped Datacove (the event organisers) win the Gatwick Diamond Business award.

Know Analytics: WordPress Website
Know Analytics are experts in digital marketing. They required a website that was highly informative, showcasing their mission, and their range of products. We made them a WordPress website that was responsive, and mobile optimised.

Resilience Continuity: WordPress Website
Resilience Continuity are consultants that required a brochure website in order to showcase their work with large international clients. The website conveys themes of scale, security, and simplicity, with a slick and professional finish.
